Active Auto Electrical & Air Conditioning is a family owned and operated business located in the Adelaide Hills town of Mount Barker.
Owned by Lang & Sarah Geary we are family from top to bottom with Lang as head technician, Sarah keeping the books in line and the kids providing moral support.
We have been running the Auto Electrical workshop from our location in Knott St almost continuously since 1997, in 2005 the original business was sold and Lang became mobile. He spent approximately three years working in the Cooper Basin for some of our long term, larger clients. In 2008 Lang returned to his original, now vacant premises and began trading as Active Auto Electrical & Air Conditioning, the business has been going from strength to strength ever since.
At Active all of our staff are fully qualified to deal with your enquiries promptly. A new and larger workshop was constructed to cope with the increased workload and our inventory of tools and equipment is comprehensive to enable accurate diagnosis and repairs to take place in an efficient manner.
Our owner and head technician Lang Geary has a reputation for providing friendly customer focused service with the ability to solve problems that others can’t. Lang has been a Mount Barker identity for many years and is well known for his high standards of work, problem solving skills and possibly even playing the odd practical joke!
As our workshop of trade qualified technicians all have different backgrounds and life experiences, we can draw on a huge bank of expertise, whether your tractor air conditioner isn’t as effective as it could be, or your Volkswagen Golf has an electrical gremlin, or perhaps your Kenworth Semi has an electrical fault and needs some driving lights fitted…

- Redarc – We are an accredited Redarc Solar approved agent and fluent with the Adelaide designed & manufactured and extremely high quality Redarc range.
- Batteries – We have a huge range of high-quality SSB & Bosch batteries, including other brands on request, with great performance and excellent warranties. We have the knowledge and honesty to match your battery type to your application and budget.
- Bosch, Denso, Delco Remy, Delphi, Sanden, Mitsubishi are just a few of the OE (Original Equipment) products that we prefer to use over lesser quality and only sometimes cheaper parts.
- Unichip – Used for our Diesel Performance side for vehicles that can’t be remapped via flash tuning. The Unichip product is an amazingly versatile, high quality package. The uses for a Unichip are many, often limited only by the experience of your installer. We have fifteen plus years of tuning experience with various packages.

- Philips Lighting – We stock an extensive range of OE globes for vehicles made by Philips which are of an extremely high quality compared to other brands.
- GME – As an official GME dealer we offer all of GME’s highly reliable and well-made UHF & mobile products.
- JW Speaker – Famous for their LED globes and headlight assemblies and considered one of the best brands around for LED lights. We stock a broad range of their performance LED globe upgrades.
